Forum Runner Branding Options

Why Brand?

Some forum owners do not want to have their users pay for the full version of the app. This is understandable and we want to offer an option for these forum owners. You have the option of licensing Forum Runner to be listed as a branded app in the app store. That means that your forum will have its own FREE app with your own icon and splash screen that will bring your users directly into the forum. Your users simply will search for your forum in the iTunes app store or Google Market, download the free app, and be able to immediately access your forum directly through your own native application.

For listing in the Apple App Store, you will be required to sign up for your own developer account which will cost 99$ a year. However, we will still maintain the app for you during your license period. For the Google Market, we will take care of listing the app under our own account.

What’s Included?

When you purchase a license for Forum Runner branding, you receive the following:

App branded to your forum using your own graphics (icon and splash screen)
We take care of maintaining the app in both the iOS app store and Android Market.
Updates for your app are included. If the Forum Runner client is updated, your app will automatically be patched to use the latest code base and features
Your forum will notify your users who are browsing via iPhone Safari or via Android that your app exists and will have the option to be taken to this app directly in the app store or market. You can disable this feature if you prefer.

The app also supports an optional feature: push notification. Push notifications are free to the end user, but require them to sign up for a push notification account through us.

Branding Cost

The cost for licensing is $599 per year. The license gives you the right to have your Forum Runner branded applications in the iTunes and Google Play app stores for the purchase period. If the purchase period expires and the branded apps are not renewed, the apps will be removed from the app stores and existing installs of the app will not function.

The purchase period begins as soon as the apps are submitted to the approval processes of Apple and Google. (Apple approval typically takes 1-2 weeks while Google approval generally occurs same-day.) For example, you pay $599 on July 1st, 2012. You install the add-on in the forum, we build the apps and test them against your forum to make sure they work 100%, and then we submit them for review for example on July 3, 2012. Your year begins on the date of submission and will last until July 3, 2013.

Legal

By purchasing a branded Forum Runner License, you agree to the following statements.

All software provided by Internet Brands (Owners of Forum Runner) is the property of Internet Brands. No modifications are allowed to the base add-on code without explicit permission from Internet Brands. We reserve the right to remove any apps created by Internet Brands from the app store for any reason, with the sole remedy being a refund of a prorated amount of the license fee for the amount of time left in the contract. All license fees are non-refundable except for the case stated in the previous sentence. If Apple or Google removes the app for any reason, we will do our best to work with them to remedy the situation but if Apple or Google refuses to list the app due to content violations or some other unforeseen reason, the only recourse will be a refund of a prorated amount of the license fee for the amount of time left in the contract. Internet Brands and Forum Runner reserve the right to use your forum name in marketing materials (websites, flyers, forum postings, etc). Internet Brands reserves the right to publish your forum in the main Forum Runner directory so users who have purchased the full version of Forum Runner can access your forum. While we extensively test our software, Internet Brands will not be held responsible for any damages done by the add-on due to unforeseen conflicts with add-ons installed on existing forums or any other unforeseen situations. We work diligently with forum owners to get the add-on to work on the multitude of forum installations we encounter.
