Hello; a long time ago I posted this problem on an already existing thread, but it was in the fixed bug forum so I guess it was overlooked.
So yes this is an old bug that I guess was fixed in an earlier version. But ever since I upgraded to 1.4.2 for the itouch, my subscribed list has stopped refreshing, unless I back out to the FR home screen. It used to refresh right when I backed to the subscribed list screen.
So it's like the bug, which was fixed in an earlier version, has resurfaced in 1.4.2.

I'm a bit confused what you mean. Can't you "drag down" to refresh or hit the "refresh" button in the upper right corner?

Oh, I didn't realize that was an option... when I next get to a wifi zone, I'll test that out. I just know that before this last version upgrade, when I touched the <subscribed> button while reading a thread (which backs up to the subscribed list), the thread I just read ceases being bolded, reflecting that the thread I just read is no longer an unread thread. Now, all the bolded threads remain bolded, until I go all the way back to the FR home screen and then reenter the TiVo forum, select options, then select <subscribed>. By doing all those button pushes, only then does the list correctly show (via bolding) which threads are unread.
I realize I wasn't so clear in my OP. I'm specificially talking about the bolding/unbolding of the subscribed list, telling me which threads are read vs unread.
Maybe this refresh button will save me button pushes, though as I said, before the 1.4.2 upgrade, I never had to do any of that.

Ah, I know what you mean. Yes, we no longer refresh the list from the server when you hit "back" out of a thread. This is by design because TONS of people complained when I made that the case because it keeps having to go back to the network (slow).
So basically the way it works is this:
If you visit an unread thread and don't read to the last page, the thread remains unread (this is the way it ALWAYS has worked). The forum only tracks the last post that you read in a thread. So if you go into a thread with 9 pages and you get put on page 3, and read to page 6, that thread will still be unread. If you go back to it, it will put you to page 7. Until you go to the last page and read it, it will remain unread (and the color unchanged).
Does this make sense?

Okay, I found the refresh thread button, which definitely saves button pushes (vs backing out to the FR home screen). I guess I can understand wanting to conserve network reads though I personally haven't noticed undue slowness with the refreshing.
I suppose this behavior isn't user customizable via settings, is it? I checked and don't see such an option. No big deal, since this thread refresh button is a reasonably convenient way to deal with it.
Thanks for explaining all this.
