Link text wrong

While reading threads I've been getting confused at what appeared to be people who were posting odd text with links. I eventually determined that Forum Runner strips out text between URL tags and replaces it with the title of the thread. It would be nice if it didn't do that for example, the following text should say "this is a link" with "a link" underlined, but does not (unless you tap the post).
