vBulletin 3.8.x Recent problems with both Android and iOS apps

I have a branded app for Mu-43.com, and beginning a few days ago the members started reporting errors. The only new products/plugins I've installed are some anti-spam measures:

Yeah the android version is broken for me. The ios version also broke maybe a week or two ago, but a reinstall seemed to fix the problem. Not sure what went wrong in the last little bit with the newest versions.

I guess I can try deleting and re-installing the app and see if that fixes it, shame there's not any option in the app for clearing the cache or resetting somehow first.

As far as I can tell there's no way to clear the cache on the iOS app version at least. I am pretty sure this is somehow related to a corrupted cache in the app but there doesn't seem to be any nice way to clear it out like there is with Tapatalk on the iPad/iPhone for instance.

All cache and tmp files are deleted when you do this (in iOS 5+). Now, if the app is putting corrupt info in a document file, those get backed up and loaded back so the problem will not go away with quitting. Basically, there is a problem with the app, or what it backs up, if the quit doesn't fix the problem. That will require the developer to fix the app.

FWIW, I tried that several times on my iPhone with no luck. It's worth a try first since it's less destructive but if that doesn't work then reinstalling the app is probably the next step.

I've deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times now. I don't get the error right away, but maybe 2 or 3 days later it will happen again. Turning on the refresh login setting has seemed to resolve this for me.

I just found an old post referencing vB Bad Behavior and ForumRunner. I added the following to the whitelist.ini file for vB Bad Behavior:

url[] = "/forumrunner/request.php"
url[] = "/forumrunner/ad.php"
url[] = "/forumrunner/image.php"
url[] = "/forumrunner/detect.js"

Hopefully that will do the trick. If you have any other suggestions, it would be much appreciated.
