If you are looking for how to enable AdMob ads in Forum Runner, please visit this thread. The information below is for integrating Google AdSense into Forum Runner.
Introducing Google AdSense Integration for Forum Runner! Forum Runner supports embedding Google AdSense ads into client apps on iPhone/iPad/Android devices. This allows you to display Google AdSense ads in-app to specific User Groups on your forum! When fully set up, it will look like this in-app: ![]() Visit "vBulletin Options->Forum Runner Settings" and you will be presented with the following screen: ![]() First, enable Google AdSense Integration by choosing "Yes" for "Enable Google AdSense / AdMob Integration?". Next, enter a list of the User Groups ID numbers you wish to show ads to on your forum. Note that this list should be a COMMA SEPARATED LIST of USERGROUP ID #! You can get the User Group ID numbers from the vBulletin Administrator Control Panel under "Usergroups->User Group Manager". If you look to the right of the name, you will see the User Group ID number next to it (Look for "Edit Usergroup (id: #)). For example, if you want to show ads to user groups 1, 5, 10, and 20, you would enter: Code:
1,5,10,20 After that is done, you need to generate the proper Google AdSense javascript or AdMob for mobile device. GOOGLE ADSENSE: You do this by visiting https://www.google.com/adsense/login/ and logging into your Google AdSense account. Once you are logged in, click on "AdSense Setup" tab and then "AdSense for Mobile Content": ![]() On the next screen, make the following selections: Device Type: iPhone and other high-end devices only (default) Ad Unit: Text and image ads (default) then choose Continue. On the next screen, name the following selections: Format: 320 x 50 Leaderboard Character Encoding: Auto-detect Feel free to choose whatever colors you see fit, and choose Continue. On the next screen, choose whatever channels you want, and Continue. This is the final screen. Copy the AdSense code block, and paste the FULL codeblock into "Google AdSense Mobile Javascript" back in your administrator options panel. Then click "Save". Congratulations, you have successfully set up Google AdSense! Use this feature at your own risk. Google has come forward and said that embedding AdSense ads in mobile applications is against the ToS. |
